Please see below the job description for the Stated Clerk/Head of Staﬀ position at Monmouth Presbytery.
The responsibilities of the Stated Clerk are deﬁned by the Book of Order. In addition, Monmouth Presbytery expects the Stated Clerk to attend the Annual Clerks’ Conference and bi-annual General Assembly.
The Head of Staﬀ function is still evolving. While it constitutes a supervisory position, it is well supported by:
• the Moderator
• the Mission Council, a group comprised of the Past Moderator, the Moderator, the Vice Moderator and six at-large ministers and elders.
The position is also supported by:
• a part-time administrative assistant
• a part-time accountant
• a volunteer treasurer.
Additional responsibilities include staﬀ evaluations in consultation with the Personnel Committee and representing the Presbytery at various meetings within the Synod of the Northeast.
Annual compensation is currently $20,000 for 15 hours per week. Travel expenses will be reimbursed as vouchered. No other beneﬁts are associated with this part-time, non-installed position.
