Pennington Presbyterian Church will kick off a series of free programs for adults of all ages, entitled Aging with Grace, on Saturday, October 13 at 10a.m. The first program, A Healthy Active Life, will feature two dynamic local experts who have dedicated their lives to nurturing and inspiring others to get involved in activities that enrich one’s physical, mental, spiritual and emotional well-being.
Jo Carolyn Dent-Clark is the Executive Director of ECHO, Inc. (Energetic Citizens Helping Others). ECHO offers a network of services for seniors in the Greater Trenton area, providing information and activities that empower seniors to remain active, informed and independent. Ms. Dent-Clark describes herself as having a sense of mission and service to encourage others, young and old, to serve where needed and to do what needs to be done. She will share practical advice on how to find balance in your life through spirituality and mindfulness.
Leslie Cortina has been a Fitness Professional since 1987 and works with the Health and Fitness Forever Young Program at PEAC (Pennington Ewing Athletic Club). Her specialties include yoga, strength training, joint mobility and core stabilization. Ms. Cortina enjoys sharing her passion for an active and healthy lifestyle. She will engage the audience in easy and effective ways to promote good posture and maintain strength and stability.
The program will conclude with a light lunch and ample opportunity for further discussion.
