The Symposium book club will meet on Monday, February 20 at Princeton Seminary’s Center for Continuing Education. Dinner will be in the cafeteria in Mackay Campus Center at 6 p.m. with our regular meeting to follow at 7:00 p.m. in the Clarke Lounge in Erdman Hall (20 Library Place).

The book for this month is The Return of the Prodigal Son: A Story of Homecoming by Henri Nouwen. The book recounts Nouwen’s personal spiritual journey in response to seeing Rembrandt’s painting, identifying progressively with the prodigal son, the older brother and the loving and forgiving father. The author points out many subtle details in the painting and challenges all Christians to follow their own spiritual journey in response. Mike Bollinger will be the presenter for this meeting.

Since the passing of our treasurer Bill Jewett, please consider whether you may be called to serve in that capacity.

Again we remind you all that we still need volunteers to do the presentations for the following:

04/17/17 The Tongue is Also a Fire

05/15/17 Seven Women: And the Secret of Their Greatness

10/16/17 Signing Their Lives Away

Please consider whether you could lead one of these discussions.

We look forward to seeing you. As always, we welcome visitors and guests. Dinner for first time guests will be paid for out of our treasury.
